Salon d’Amour, a project by Dutch/Austrian artist Margret Wibmer, is a participative performance exploring love’s transformative power in a polarized world. This socially engaged art project invites participants to reimagine their relationships with others and the world. It examines love’s role in fostering connections and community survival during crises, emphasizing its relevance to critical issues like our relationship with nature. In collaboration with PEACH Wien the project features a unique newspaper-style publication, curated by Wibmer, showcasing positive texts and contributions from various artists and writers. Salon d’Amour has been performed globally, including recent exhibitions in Austria and upcoming performances in Japan. It offers a powerful antidote to polarization by exploring love as a unifying force across cultures.
